Mission trip details for 2009
Adult Changers Overview: March 26 -29, 2009
Adult KY Changers is organized by the Brotherhood dept of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. It is similar in nature to the Youth event in that volunteers gather to donate their time and skills to build, repair, etc.. projects for local communites. This year we had the priviledge of working at Cedamore. This is one of two camps operated by a Baptist organization that runs Youth camps. We painted the worship center, built several bridges, and numerous odd jobs. They estimate over 6000 youth from 16 states will come through there this summer. In addition, one crew framed up a building for a local church. I think it was a fellowship hall, but you could ask Mike Boling, he was part of that. Myself, Terri and Mike led worship each evening for the 70 participants who came from all over the state. Living Faith had 9 people go this year.
Youth Kentucky Changers
All Youth Kentucky Changers will be working this year in Princeton (June 13-20), Lawrenceburg/Frankfort (June 27-July 4), and Grant County (July 4-11). Designed to be a hands-on mission trip for students who have completed seventh grade through college-age young adults, the Changers experience helps teach youth to be “On Mission” Christians. Students can enjoy hard work, Spirit-filled worship, great fellowship and lots of fun.
